Our goals for the research component of this project were to find potential solutions to control illegal dumping in the project area, and to find a way to pay for their implementation. To do this, we did a series of case studies on communities with illegal dumping problems, and then we researched grants to find funding for our proposed solutions.
Case Studies

To get a better understanding of how other communities dealt with their illegal dumping problem, we conducted case studies of communities with illegal dumping programs throughout the United States.

We gathered information through website research and interviews with program staff.
