Parking Lots & Alleys

Below is a section of this parking lot.

Parking in Corvallis is surprisingly pleasant.  These areas, usually disliked by people living in large cities like New York or Chicage due to dreary and dangerous conditions, are safe and clean in the city of Corvallis.  Some of these lots are harbored between buildings while other lots are found open, bathed in summer sunlight or winter greys, by the riverfront area.  These parking lots are connected to the main downtown area and aren't hidden in some nook in the corner of the city.  They allow for the commuters to quickly get to the shops and offices that are so much of Corvallis' oxygen.  Moreover, with high visiablity due to close locations to apartments and businesses, these parking lots are relatively safe, something that couldn't be said for the whole 2nd Street strip just a decade and one half ago.
The alleys in Corvallis are another important open space to both vendors and customers.  Corvallis features relatively clean alleys that are generally no parking zones.  This regulation of no parking creates easy access to the back entrances of many stores for delivery persons, customers, and merchants.
