RE: starship-design: HIGHLY OPTIMIZED TOLERANCE



Although robotic mining will probably be included in mission parameters to
some extent, it is very unlikely that there will be any consortium of
investors expecting to make money off of it. There is enough material in our
solar system that is easier to get at and a lot closer to home to last for
thousands of years. Shipping ore back from another star system is
impractical from a cost standpoint alone.
