- What
Needs to be Changed the Most - Students
- A
full 40% of all students responding to this question stated that some
part of the automated lighting system, from daylight sensor, to motion
detector sensitivity, to ability to control lighting conditions was
the feature most in need of change in the classroom. Surprisingly, a
sixth of the students said that desks, specifically their size or awkward
use, were the worst part of the classroom. Small room size came in third,
with uncomfortable temperatures and bland colors following up.
- What
needs to be Changed the Most - Teachers
- Most
teachers indicated that control of the lighting system could be modified
to better suit their needs. In second came the occupancy sensor, and
third were the light level sensor and control of temperature. In most
cases a lack of control seems to be the design parameter in need of
modification.
