 Project Objectives

Below is a list of four main objectives the project team set out to accomplish over the course of the academic year.  Listed under the first three primary objectives are supporting objectives we accomplished to complete our overall goals. 

1.  Create Educational Materials: 
        a.  Plant Identification Guide for Community Education
        b.  Public Presentations
        c.   Web Site Content  
        d.  Informational Poster

2.  Re-visit Forest Monitoring Plots:
        a.  Locate Plots & Note GPS Coordinates
        b.  Collect botanical data
        c.  Create Forest Plot Photo Database
        d.  Analyze Data Collected

3. Establish Invasive Species Monitoring Protocol:
        a.  Conduct Literature Review on Invasive Plants
        b.  Install Monitoring Plots
        c.  Apply Prescribed Treatments
        d.  Collect Preliminary Plot Data

4.  Assemble Data and Prepare Report for City Staff
