The Chalet at 7045 SW Taylors Ferry Road in
Portland, OR is a popular place for dance groups to meet. Parking is limited,
car pool if possible, park tightly, and respect the neighboring driveways.
Safest on-street parking is around the corner on SW 72nd.
Directions:
From the north, take Interstate 5 to Exit 295, Capitol Hwy. Turn left onto
Taylors Ferry Road at the stop sign. Continue about 30 blocks. 7045 will be
on the right just before the road curves left.
From the south, take Interstate 5 to Exit 294, Barbur Blvd. Continue on
Barbur one mile and turn right to intersect Capitol Hwy. Turn left on Capitol
Hwy., cross Barbur and turn left again onto Taylors Ferry Road. Continue
about 30 blocks. 7045 will be on the right just before the road curves
left.

Hungarian Táncház (or Dance House) at The Chalet, 7045 SW Taylors Ferry Road, in Portland, Oregon. First and Third Saturdays of each month, 8:00- 11:00pm. $2. Sponsored by the Aratás Hungarian Folk Ensemble. An hour of teaching, from 8-9 p.m., by guest teachers or members of the ensemble is followed by recreational dancing. Hungarian and Transylvanian dances are mainly couple dancing; singles and couples at all skill levels are welcome. Dancers. They usually draw a crowd of 30-40 people, sometimes more, and
feature live music about once a month. It's in the 2nd-floor ballroom at
the Greenlake VFW, 7220 Woodlawn Ave. N.E., Seattle. $3 donation requested
