As of May 2000, the lexicographic data base has over 3,000 entries, from IlKeekonyokie, IlWuasinKishu, IlPurko, Samburu, and IlKisongo dialects.  The lexicographic data base is being built by a combination of traditional linguistic field methods, and by interactive parsing of Maasai texts.

  The following are a few sample dictionary entries.  These were developed by Leonard Kotikash, Cynthia Schneider, and Doris Payne.  The entries posted here may change from time to time (Current posting June 2000).
