starship-design: Beanstalk

I believe what ben is refering to is called "beanstalk", a way to get
cheap
access to space. It is theoretically possible, given sufficient
technology,
that which we might have by 2050. I think research into this
topic is worthwhile, perhaps it could help in the "Near Earth
Development Project". 

Ben: Excellent! We need more ideas like that.
