  7. Does the definition have an appropriate and descriptive title?

Arrangement
  1. Does the definition begin with a formal sentence definition that is the topic sentence of the first paragraph?


  2. Is the definition unified and coherent?


  3. Are adequate transitions used between ideas?

Style
  1. Is the definition in plain English?


  2. Will its level of technicality connect with the audience?


  3. Are all the sentences clear, concise, and fluent?


  4. Is the word choice precise?


  5. Is it written in correct English?
