3. In one or two sentences, state your major reason. (Why is this claim true?)

 

 

4. What additional reasons can you give?

 

 

5. Now write a clear, direct , argumentative thesis. (Although . . . I think . . . because . . . reason 1 . . . reason 2 . . . reason 3 . . . [for as many reasons as you have] . . . [therefore] . . . ) Refer to "Generating a Thesis," #6, for a longer explanation of this thesis statement.
