I'm afraid I haven't watched too many Humphrey Bogart films, but African Queen is one I find exceptional. |

My familiarity with Chuck Norris films is limited to the "Missing in Action" series, "Invasion, U.S.A.", and "Delta Force". I did enjoy "Delta Force", one of the last films by one of my favorite veteran actors, Lee Marvin. |
"The Guns of Navarone" is one of the war films I remember from my youth. Gregory Peck is a consumate actor and had an excellent supporting cast including David Niven, shown here, and Anthony Quinn. |

"Patton" is a memorable film that sparked my interest in the life of General George Patton. George C. Scott was absolutely outstanding as the charismatic WWII general. As a villain, George C. Scott also turned in a riveting performance as a strange, obsessive assassin in the Stephen King film "Firestarter". My favorite Stephen King film, however, remains "The Dead Zone" starring Christopher Walken. |

Cliff Robertson's portrayal of John F. Kennedy in "PT109" helped to boost Kennedy's career and ingrained the legend of this heroic rescue in the minds of many young people in the 60s. The film itself reminds me of the propaganda-type war films of the 40s. |

Christopher Reeve will always be a "Man of Steel" in my book. I actually didn't see the first "Superman" installment until after I had seen the second on VHS. I was living on a remote ranch in eastern Oregon during the period, so I didn't get to a theater very often. I was able to catch up on some of these classics with the advent of consumer-grade video cassette recorders. We bought one of the first ones on the market, a heavy appliance with what must have been a cast-iron frame. |
