This project extends and refines results of a Place Tools project funded by a UO Educational Technology Curriculum Development grant.

Previous Research in support of this project

Spring 2002: identified and acquired mobile tools

Summer / Fall 2002: tested tools, wrote field guides

Winter 2003: small group examination of one space using different tools and development of website with Media Services)

Future Progress

Spring 2003: Placetools website, research group develops protocols

Summer 2003: Gather examples from architects, create web examples

Fall 2003: Drawing class, studio site visits, teacher workshops using Io pens

Winter / Spring 2004: Further development of website during PI sabbatical, tools to be used either in UO and UW classes.
