"Sixes was the first place I collected recycled wood. I still store wood at friends and acquaintances when I’m traveling. I never thought of wood as much of a commodity or treasure until Sixes. Coconut craft (working coconut shells into bowls and spoons) came to me at Sixes river- it's really symptomatic of something else- living the life where you see hear touch smell all at once instead of an activity that doesn’t involve all the senses." - barry
