Sreet Analysis

TRAFFIC:
Third Street tends to have the most traffic.  Second Street is more moderate.  There is an average of 480 cars per hour.  First Street has the lightest flow of traffic.

PARKING:
Essentially, there is always open and convenient parking for everyone visiting the downtown area.  If parking is not available directily in front of the desired shop, there are two large parking lots within short walking distance to the shops, all of which are free.

BIKES:
Third Streed has the most bike use, primarily because there is a bike lane.  Second Street has no bike lane, and very few bike racks.  First has more bicycle traffic than second, and is quite pleasant for biking.  Although there is no bike lane, the sidewalks are large, and allow for a nice view of the Willamette River.

PEDESTRIANS:
Second Street is the most lively as far as pedestrian usage, especially between Jefferson and Jackson.  This portion of Second is geared more towards shoppers and includes clothing stores, music stores, and eateries.  Third has moderate pedestrian use, partly because most people want to walk on a street that is not always busy and loud.
