1. Timeline for budget discussions from the Senate Budget Committee
• Early December - distribution of Executive Summary of White Paper
• January 10 - broadcast message outlining process
• January 10 - White Paper distributed
• January 12 - Senate Briefing (1500 in 177 Lawrence)
• January 26 - Townhall
• Early Winter Quarter - Survey conducted
• March 2000 - policy in place
• May 2000 - faculty will know salaries for fall 2000
2. The Senate will meet in 177 Lawrence in Winter 2000
3. Gwen Steigelman has been appointed Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. She will continue to serve as Secretary of the Senate and Secretary of the Faculty.
4. Notice of motion has been given by the Distinguished Service Award Committee regarding a recommendation for an honorary degree. This will be considered in executive session at the January meeting of the UO Senate.
5. Notice of motion (US9900-4)  has been given by Senator Grzybowski proposing Changes to the internship Add/Drop deadlines. It has been approved by the Senate Rules Committee and will be on the January agenda.
6. Notice of motion (US9900-5)has been given by Senator Jane Gray  regarding Legal Advocacy for the Faculty. It will be submitted to the Senate Rules Committee and may appear on the January agenda.
7. Notice of motion (US9900-6) has been given by Jim Long (Chair of the Undergraduate Council) ``Group Satisfying Courses to be 4 Credits'' and will appear on the February agenda.
