You are to be commended for your good work on PTR I particularly ccommend
the distinction between PTR and discharge for cause. Ptr is evidence as
other items in the faculty member's history but to make it a part of the
discharge process would destroy the element of cooperative faculty support
and developmental encouragement. It would also open the discharge process
to much greater litigation risk based on lack of fair process and entrapment.
