Proposed Amendment
February 1, 1999
The following text was developed after the proposed Faculty Development
Review was completed, and is intended to bring the review into compliance
with an Internal Management Directive proposed at the December 18, 1998
meeting of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. The following
language is intended to be placed at the conclusion of Section A,
"Procedures of Individual Administrative Units."
"Whether regular reviews in any particular unit of the University consist
of regular reviews for salary purposes, of merit reviews, or of a newly
created third-year review, the documents from such reviews must be used
by the unit as a factor in deciding on remuneration. Each unit shall
include in its memorandum submitted to the Provost's Office and the
Senate President a description of how the reviews will be used in the
process for deciding on remuneration."
