Pursuant to item (a) of its charge, the committee completed its discussion of a document to amend OAR 572-020 and asked committee chair Gilkey to present it to the Senate to be voted upon at the February meeting of the UO Senate.
The committee then undertook a detailed discussion of appropriate language for a University Policy statement dealing with the relevant issues. Committee member Garrett Epps agreed to draft appropriate language for the policy statement taking into account the comments made by the various participants at the committee meeting. The draft language will then be circulated to the committee as a whole, posted on the web, and further refined at a subsequent committee meeting. Comment will be solicited from the community as a whole.
