UO Senate Non Tenure Track Faculty (NTTF) Committee Meeting
Present: Daniel Pope, Ali Emami, Gloria Zabala, Harinder Kaur Hennesy, Alan Dickman, Amy Goeser-Kolb, Joan Malmud
Absent: Michele Henney, Yelaina Kripkov, Phil Cullum, Laurie Neighbors
- Joan Malmud gave her report as liaison to the Academic Affair Implementation Committee. Most of these points were covered also by Russ Tomlin during our Nov. 3. 2006 meeting. This particular committee works on articulating policies based on the NTTF Committee recommendations . Progress has been made so far in the areas of regularizing rank and title irregularities and evaluation and promotion guidelines.
- NTTF committee discussed about its role. We have decided on the following actions to take in 2007:
- making interactions among the NTTF campus-wide (Harinder will ask Russ Tomlin for the NTTF mailing list.)
- Daniel, Ali and Harinder will work on putting together a survey which will be sent to all NTTF.
- Daniel will invite a presenter from the Labor Education and Research Center to inform us about various possibilities of representation.
- Our next meeting will be on Friday Jan. 19, 2007 (time 3:00-5:00 pm, place TBA)
