travelnews: New Per Diem Rates

Following you will find a brief summary of the new travel reimbursement

rates policy which will become effective January 1, 2008.  These rates

apply to travel that occurs January 1, 2008 or after.   If you have any

INSTATE

All Oregon Cities......$45.00  meals

                      $107.00  lodging

OUT-OF-STATE

Low cities.............$45.00  meals

                      $107.00  lodging

High Cities............$58.00  meals

                      $179.00  lodging

The high city list will be updated on the web as of January 1, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE...When staying at a conference hotel or meeting hotel, you can

claim the high city meal per diem even if it is a low cost city.  We will

pay actual on lodging but receipts are required if you exceed the lodging

per diem stated above.  This covers out-of-state, and foreign

travel.  It also covers in-state travel for the lodging but there is no

high meal per diem in the state of Oregon.  You must also attach documentation

that shows it was the conference hotel and what the lodging rate was for the conference.

NON-COMMERCIAL LODGING per diem is $25.00 for in-state, out-of-state and

foreign travel.
