EXERCISE 4.1

ORGANIZING WITH LAYERS

1. Now we will place the parts of the building on their respective LAYERS.

• Select the roof by checking the ROOF group in the OBJECTS PALETTE(all palettes can be found under the "Palettes" menu on top).
• Make the ROOF LAYER active - check ROOF layer in the LAYERS PALETTE.

• Use the LAYER tool to place the selected elements on the ROOF layer(click on the screen).

2. To verify the layer change, turn off the ROOF layer by double clicking on the black diamond next to the layer's title.

3. You can also turn off the other layers and just view the roof.
