SIMPLE ROOF FORMS & OPENINGS

7. Select the face of the remaining box and view it from the top. Using INSERT OUTLINE and the RECTANGLE tool, draw the above shape.

8. Go back to a 30-60 view and connect the corners of the rectangle to the corners of the face using INSERT OUTLINE.
(Make sure the proper face is selected.)
 

9. Now we will simply move the roof forms up.

• Select the appropriate topological level for each move (clockwise starting with gabled roof: segment, point, segment, face).
• For ease of moving, uncheck the A in the PROMPTS window.
• Then select MOVE.
• Then enter the values for the move, in this case- 0,0,6'.
