“I
didn’t like myself very much before I came to Sixes- I always
wished I was someone else. I guess it was starting to sing- my voice
came to me outdoors, singing to the creek or the garden or down by Floyd’s.
I didn’t need a reason to sing, I just sang, and until that moment
I wasn’t glad that I was me. I’ve stayed that way since
that moment. It was from being at a place where we could live like that.
I don’t think it was the wilderness or nature” -barry |
