Food First! -- The purpose of Food First is to eliminate the injustices that cause hunger. Our grand strategy is to change
consciousness, awakening people to the possibility of social change and their own power to bring it about.

Institute on Race & Poverty - A strategic research center based at the Univ. of Minnesota Law School in Mineapolis
     (USA). The institute focusses attention on the unique dynamic created by the intersection of racial segregation and poverty.
     The Institute addresses the problems of poor people of color using a particular analytical and conceptual paradigm that
     avoids the mistake of focusing only on racism or only on poverty. The Institute's goals are to create scholarship,
     commentary, and dialogue to promote a better understanding of the issues confronting communities which face the
     combined challenges of racial segregation and poverty.
