RUBE WALBERG

1932 Flashback
Big left-handed pitcher Rube Walberg went 17-10 for the A's in 1932, his 10th year of a 15 year career. Earning his nickname as a country boy, Rube had a reputation of speaking his mind and backing it with his fists. With a blinding fast-ball, Walberg's tendency to be wild cost him greatness.
