| Having just helped the Yankees win the 1932 World Series Bill Dickey was a celebrity. Though he joined the All Stars' tour late with his new bride he certainly added to its success. With Yogi Berra as his understudy he retired in 1946 after 17 years batting .313, making the Hall of Fame in 1954. |
