Upright folds (Have vertical, or nearly vertical, axial surfaces)

Isoclinal folds (limbs are parallel or nearly parallel) --two images: a recumbent and an upright isoclinal fold.

Kink and Chevron folds (Have planar limbs and narrow hinges)

Ptygmatic folds (Have high amplitude to wavelength ratios)

Disharmonic folds (Different layers have different fold shapes)
