Stroud's site has been bought out by iWorld, so it would appear
that there are no longer mirror sites supporting it. Let's hope i-World

Multiple Page Shareware Software Search Engine
Shase Search Form
Use this form to search a large number of software repositories
from one easy to use location. If you know the name of the software
you are looking for, this will make your search quite easy.

Software Mega List
Jumbo
Jumbo is a huge page of 59K+ software titles over PC DOS,
Win 3.x, Win95, Mac, and Unix platforms. A list this size must
have a drawback, and in this case quite a few links are dead. Still
a nice resource for software. Shase does not search Jumbo.

Site reviews commercial and freeware software and lets you know where to go
to get it .Reviews are made per user comments to the site. Listings include price,
availability, specifications, end-user reviews, discussion groups, and links to
manufacturers. Helpful site.
Dave Central Software Archive
this site is not huge like Jumbo, but it is well put together and contains
quite a few software items that might be of interest
PC Win Resource Center
This site has too many graphics to load quickly, but it is a great
place to look for Windows utilities and games. Good descriptions of
software listed, too.

Shareware & Freeware
I am now using Jim Knopf's shareware author's list to find interesting shareware. Additional shareware links not already listed at the "Father of Shareware's" site are welcome. Shareware authors move sites as well as come and go too frequently to keep an up-to-date personal list active. This is one very large list of shareware software authors and their products.
