| Project Description |
|
The proposed $3,500,000 MNCH Collections Storage Facility and Research Laboratory project will be constructed as an east addition to the MNCH. It will allow improved access to research materials by faculty, researchers, and Anthropology department graduate and undergraduate students through expansion and improvement of the museum's field and laboratory instruction space. It will provide quality space to house the expanding archaeological materials as mandated by state and federal law. The Museum provides research and curation support to the Oregon Department of Transportation and other agencies, including the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
