Project Description
In 2003, a statewide nanoscience initiative resulted in a new entity called the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI). The first phase of the UO's on-campus component of this initiative is the Lorry I. Lokey Laboratories. The 26,500 gsf facility is largely underground, located adjacent to and connected to Huestis Hall. It was designed to encourage collaboration among different scientific fields and to create a culture in which highly specialized research instruments are available to a wide range of researchers.
