The Allen Hall Expansion and Remodel Project is envisioned to include an addition to the existing building to accommodate the expanding School of Journalism and Communication and to create an overall sense of building cohesiveness. The addition is approximately 20,375 gross square feet in three stories and a basement. The addition will support additional full-time and adjunct faculty and graduate teaching fellows. The renvation includes energy and seismic upgrades to the existing 1922 north wing and 1954 west building and will create a "Digital Commons" - a new teaching, learning, and collaborative work area centered on evolving curricular needs of digital media productions.

Anticipated opening is January 2013.
