Materials Distributed
Notice of motion has been received for 8 different motions.
-
Affirmation of community standards. An outgrowth of the "pledge of respect"
developed over the summer. It is on the agenda for the April meeting.
-
Corporate Code of Conduct. Presumably Senator Grzybowski will have more
to say about that at the end of this meeting. It is expected to come up
in April.
-
Motion from the DSA to update the legislation slightly for the distinguished
service award. It is on the agenda for the April meeting. On a slightly
different matter, additional nominees for the DSA are actively solicited
- send nominations to Dave Hubin through 15 March 2000.
-
Three motions from the SBC - Presumably Wayne Westling will discuss these
in more detail during his "interim report". These will come up at the Special
meeting of the UO Senate scheduled for 29 March (first Wednesday of the
quarter). This special meeting has been called because the Deans and Department
heads need to get to work on allocating the raises for next November and
the April meeting is too late.

15 March 2000.

McLaughlan on the same subject.

The report of the Oregon Survey Research Laboratory. A telephone survey
was conducted of instructional faculty immediately after the town hall
meeting. It is being distributed to enable Senators to look it over in
advance of the 29 March 2000 meeting as there are some real tradeoffs to
be discussed. The information on the written survey is being organized
now and will be distributed when available.
