Dear Greg:

This is just to confirm in writing the decision by the Senate Executive
Committee today to accept your offer to conduct a poll of the Senate
Membership regarding "building an agenda" (to reuse the phrase that was
employed a few years ago in a similar context). I am going to ask Gwen
to see if she can find that material for you.

I have scheduled you on the November agenda of the Senate to present a
brief report to the Senate concerning what you find out; presumably this
will be VERY helpful to the Senate Executive Committee in setting the
agenda for future meetings of the Senate.
