Subject: senate05-06: REVISED CONDUCT CODE

Dear Senators:

Attached to this email please find the revised and now final draft of the proposed Student Conduct Code. I have also enclosed a rather long memo that will walk you through the feedback we've received to our revisions over the past 8 weeks, and ALL the major changes that we i.e. the Ad Hoc committee -- undertook in response to that feedback.

The enclosed memo also articulates our decisions not to create changes in response to certain feedback. In sum, we've tried to provide you with as much information about our deliberation process and the feedback we received as possible. Our goal has been to keep this process as dialogue-centered and transparent as possible.

So â bon appetit! There's a lot of reading matter attached here, but given the importance of this conduct code document and the seriousness of some of the concerns expressed regarding the revisions, we felt that it was crucial to be as exhaustive and precise in our deliberations as possible.

Please don't hesitate to be in touch directly with any questions or concerns you may have. Otherwise, we'll see you on May 10th!

Respectfully, Lisa Freinkel (English and Comp Lit)

on behalf of the entire Ad Hoc Committee: Bill Daley (Business) Laura Lawson (student) Chris Loschiavo (Student Judicial Affairs) Liane Richardson (Law)
