What To Bring

Here are a few things we suggest you bring with you to IntroDUCKtion. Your needs may vary so if you have questions, please let us know!

  • Your confirmation letter – In case questions come up about your registration, it’s a good idea to have this with you. If you haven’t received a confirmation letter from us in the mail, then you are not registered for IntroDUCKtion, or we have an incorrect mailing address on file for you. Please call us!

  • Copies of your Advanced Placement scores, if available – these will help your adviser in case the university has not received your scores yet.

  • Your UO Transfer Evaluation Report (available on DuckWeb)

  • Transcripts of all college course work completed since your UO admission – you will also need to make sure the college or university you attended sends us official transcripts as soon as they are available.

  • Comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and sunglasses or a hat – you will spend time outdoors.

  • Toiletries - Blankets, pillows, and towels are provided in the UO Residence Halls but you will need to bring shampoos, soaps, any medications you are taking, etc. We also suggest you bring some sun block.

  • Backpack, book bag, or brief case – you will get several things that you will need to carry. If you’re bringing your parents, you will want to suggest that they also bring a backpack as they will be getting material as well and there will be times when you are separated.

  • Alarm clock – you may have to get up early.

  • No. 2 pencil - for placement exams.

  • Calculator - for math placement test (graphing calculators are not allowed).

  • Spending money – on Day One we will provide light snacks in the morning, lunch, and dinner. On Day Two of IntroDUCKtion, you are on your own for your meals.
