Check-in at IntroDUCKtion

During IntroDUCKtion, students and their families participate in two separate but concurrent programs tailored to address their specific needs. There are eleven sessions to choose from. Seven are designed for freshmen, two for both freshmen and transfer students, one specifically for transfer students, and one—presented in Hawaii—for residents of that state.

Look below for session dates and registration status. Once a session is full, you will no longer see it as an option on DuckWeb. We do not keep waiting lists for full sessions and we will not add students into a full session.

Transfer Program

At Student Orientation

If you have completed more than 36 credits of course work at a U.S. college or university after graduating from high school or its equivalent, you may choose to participate in this one-day session. The one-day transfer student programs on July 6 and July 25 provide academic advising, placement testing, campus information, and registration. The primary focus is on the needs of transfer students.

You will check in at 7:45 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center. The one-day program begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends by 5:00 p.m. While Interest Sessions are not mandatory, students must participate in all other components; arriving late will delay your ability to get advising and register for classes for several weeks. Also please keep in mind the day's schedule when making travel arrangements.

University housing is not available for participants in the one-day program, but you may take a residence hall tour. Parents and family members are not offered a separate session during the one-day transfer program.
