Admission Requirements

Admission requirements are different for freshmen and transfer students.  While it is possible to enter college as a freshman, we recommend students complete about 90 or more quarter hours of college credit before applying for admission to the UO's undergraduate degree programs offered in Central Oregon. New college students who wish to begin their studies in Bend as freshmen can take the necessary general-education courses through Central Oregon Community College (COCC).

Click here for a complete description of the UO’s transfer admission requirements.  These requirements apply to all undergraduate transfer students, including those pursuing degrees offered in Central Oregon.

Applying for Admission

The first step in pursing one of the UO’s undergraduate degree programs offered in Central Oregon is to apply for admission.  Through the Cascades Campus, students can apply to any of the partner institutions using a single undergraduate application form.  Applications are available from the OSU-Cascades Enrollment Services Office, (located in the COCC Boyle Education Center (BEC) or by calling 541-322-3123), and the UO’s Central Oregon Programs office (located in the COCC Chandler Building or by calling 541-617-4660).  To request a Cascades Campus application through the mail, send an email with your name and address to <osuadmit@orst.edu>.

Admission to the UO’s three undergraduate degree programs is coordinated through the OSU-Cascades Campus Enrollment Services Office. Submit the following:

o        A completed OSU Cascades Campus Application for Undergraduate Admission

o        A $50 nonrefundable application fee.

o        If you have taken 36 or more college credits, submit official copies of transcripts from each of the colleges or universities you have attended.

o        If you have fewer than 36 college credits, send an official high school transcript, a copy of your SAT1 or ACT scores, and official transcripts from all each college you’ve attended.

A copy of your OSU Cascades Campus Application will be forwarded to the UO’s Central Oregon Programs office, then on to the UO campus in Eugene.  You should expect to hear about your admission status about three weeks from the date all documents are received by the admissions office in Eugene
