Designed for families and arts lovers of all ages, our second Campus Arts Faire will showcase a broad range of arts media--from visual and performing arts to literary and cultural explorations. All of the events are free to the public.





Music, theater, fine arts, dance, several student arts organizations and both museums will have activities, performances and tours throughout the afternoon. Information booths located near the Museum of Art and along Johnson Lane will offer schedules of the day's events.

Performances

UO East European Folk Music Ensemble

A lively musical performance combined with lessons in traditional Balkan folk dancing. EMU 11:00 a.m.

"Bibliokenesis"

Dance improvisation and choreography created by dance students for spaces in the Knight Library. KL 11:15 a.m.

Pacific Rim Gamelan Concert

An exotic sound experience! The UO's Balinese percussion orchestra creates complex rhythms with bells, gongs, drums and more. MOA 11:30 a.m.

Kids Dance Workshop

Get moving! A dance-making activity especially for kids ages 5-8. Johnson Tent noon

Folk Music

Traditional folk music from "Dark of the Moon" (upcoming play) set in the Smoky Mountains. Johnson Tent 1 p.m.

Spring Student Dance Concert

Mini-performance featuring four pieces choreographed by seniors. Inspired by Einstein's theories, Chinese female archetypes and swing dance from the 40s, the choreographers will discuss their pieces and answer questions from the audience. MOA 2 p.m.

Drawing Tools and Techniques

Eugene artist Robert Canaga demonstrates his favorite tools and fun techniques including graphite, ink, charcoal and pastels. Johnson Tent 2 p.m.

Julia Neufeld and Gospel Choir

Come on, get happy! This group will lift your spirits with their joyous songs. EMU 2:30 p.m.

Absolut Improv

You'll never guess what's next, but this student theater group is always fast and outrageously funny! Johnson Tent 3 p.m.

The World of Poetry: Translations in Verse

The Oregon Humanities Center presents a series of short selections in foreign languages and translations in English. KL 3 p.m.

Oregon Ballroom Dance

A variety of performances and lessons by this student organization in grand ballroom style. EMU 3:15 p.m.
