  • Symposium is Saturday, April 3, 2004
  • We will have seven speakers, four of whom are from other universities including the University of Chicago, Louisiana State University, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis.
  • Liz will contact professors and ask them to offer extra credit points for attending the Symposium
  • There will be a potluck dinner at Liz’s house and an informal gathering TBA. We will wait to see when our guests will arrive to decide whether the potluck will be on Friday or Saturday evening.

2. 2005 Symposium (Nissie)

  • There has been one submission for 2005 theme – nature. Nature pops up in all art and many artists and architects site nature as an influence or inspiration from the long, low horizon of Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style house to perspective to the divine (Humanism, proportion) and of course the search for Truth. The Hook -- we could perhaps provide opportunities to visit the mountains and coast.
  • Nissie is still receiving ideas for themes, contact her (nissiesue@hotmail.com)

3. Art Collecting (Crystal/Dawn/Adrienne) – no report.
