Undergraduate Council Members
The Undergraduate Council consists of 16 voting members (including elected faculty, chairs of curriculum and requirements committees, and students). In addition, there are ex officio, non voting members. Elected faculty members serve staggered 3-year terms, and students serve 1-year terms.
Selection Process for Student Council Members
The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies, on behalf of the Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO), solicits recommendations for students to serve on the Undergraduate Council. The recommended students are then contacted to determine their interest in such service, and those who wish to be considered are interviewed by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies and a voting member of the Undergraduate Council. Final membership selection based on interview outcomes and recommendations must be confirmed by the ASUO.
