GEDTesting The University of Oregon serves as an official test site for the General Educational Development Certificate, the GED. The GED offers the individual without a high school diploma a "second chance" at earning a high school equivalency certificate. Successful completion of the GED can enhance a person's employability as well as qualify them for admissions to Community College, University or other post-secondary educational programs. The GED consists of 5 tests; Writing, Social Studies, Sciences, Reading Literature and Mathematics. Testing is by individual appointment and costs $70.00. Testing is also available in Spanish.
