This two-hour workshop is designed to give participants an opportunity to explore “scientific teaching.” We will explore the reasons we teach science, the nature of science, and the science of teaching. We will identify how course learning goals, active learning, regular assessments, and diversity are important components of scientific teaching. Participants will leave the workshop with resources to use in the classroom and an action plan for scientific teaching in their courses.
