Instructions for Telecommunications
Order Forms
Form 1b --
Telecommunications Service Estimate.
The Telecommunications Service Estimate
form is to be used to obtain an estimate for the cost of work to be completed by
Telecommunications Services for you, work that could be expensive to your
department. An example would be for Telecom to install a new telephone jack to
be placed in a room that previously has no service.
- There is a $25.00 charge for an
estimate, which will be applied to cover the Service Order Change ($25.00) if
the work is approved and completed. A 10% addition is added into the estimate to
cover any unforeseeable charges, but if the actual work is less than the
estimate, your department will be charged the lower amount. If the costs are
above the estimate, your department will be charged only for the estimate.
- Once completed by Telecommunications
Services, the estimate is good for 90 days.
- When work begins on your order,
coordinators will be contacted immediately for approval if the technicians find
the job to be much higher than originally estimated.
