Chargeable  Calls from Campus Lines

US and Canadian Dialing:

For calls placed with a University Authorization code, dial 9 + 1 + ten-digit number, wait for recall tone (three short beeps) and dial in authorization billing code.

For calling-card or major credit-card calls**, dial 9 + 0 + area code + seven digit number, wait for tone, and follow AT&T instructions.

For collect calls, dial 9 + 0 + area code + seven digit number, and remain on line past the credit card announcement for telephone company instructions; say "collect" on cue.

For other Long Distance Calling Card Users (i.e. Sprint, MCI, etc.), dial 9 + 1 + 800 + the seven digit access number, then follow directions on your calling card.

International Dialing:

For calls placed with a University Authorization code, dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code + number + # sign, then dial in your authorization billing code number.

For calling-card or major credit-card calls**, dial 9 + 01 + country code + city code + number + # sign, and follow AT&T instructions.

For collect calls, dial 9 + 01 + country code + city code + number, remain on the line for an AT&T operator. Please note that some countries will not accept collect calls!!

For other Long Distance Calling Card Users (i.e. Sprint, MCI, etc.), dial 9 + 1 + 800 + the seven digit access number, then follow directions on your calling card.

Toll-Free Numbers: Dial 9 + 1 + (800, 866, 877 or 888) + seven digit number.

** Credit cards include Telephone Company calling cards such as AT&T, QWEST, GTE or any other Bell System card or calls can be billed to major credit cards (MasterCard, Dinners Club or American Express) which is accepted by the the Country called.
