ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAM Super Summer classes offer educational, in-depth learning experiences beyond the scope of the normal classroom. Children are free to create, design, and invent with other advanced and motivated students in a safe and encouraging environment. Students enthusiastically participate in integrated, mixed-grade classes. Your child may choose from a myriad of classes that incorporate one or more of the following curricular areas: Science, Technology, Visual and Performing Arts,Foreign Language,Creative Problem Solving, Mathematics, and Language Arts.
INSTRUCTORS Super Summer instructors are passionate about what they teach! They demonstrate a proven ability to work with advanced learners. Many are professional teachers with full-time positions at school districts around the state. Some are students or just recently graduated students from a graduate licensure program. Finally, some instructors are practicing professionals in the community. All instructors are thoroughly screened.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Designed for highly motivated children completing grades K-5 who love to learn, Super Summer challenges students who are high achievers, generally working above grade level, and who exhibit the ability to explore topics in great depth. They are often TAG identified or require educational services above and beyond those provided by the regular school program. Acceptance is based on responses to the application form.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE Three-week classes are offered during three time slots: *Session A: 9:00 � 10:20 a.m. *Session B: 10:40 � Noon *Session C: 12:40 � 2:00 A supervised morning and lunch break are scheduled between classes. Children may choose one, two or all three classes. (Wrap-around care is available. See �Club Summit".)
On July 17th, celebrate with students, families and friends by viewing student work, applauding performances, meeting friends, and sharing stories within Super Summer�s exuberant learning community! Students must be accompanied by an adult.

SCHOLARSHIPS The program offers a limited number of partial scholarships to participants, most of whom qualify for free or reduced lunch. Documentation is required. Free Lunch: 50% tuition reduction, Reduced Lunch: 25% tuition reduction. Call (541) 346-1400 for a scholarship application. (Scholarship awards do not apply to the application fee.)
The deadline is May 22, 2009. Applications received by this date will ensure student participation in the first round of course choices.
