Mess with Words! Stretch your imagination and exercise your creativity in action packed word play. Mess with storytelling, make out-loud poems; cut, glue and dangle words. Tell, illustrate, act and imagine both solo and in teams. Share. Experiment. Prepare hand fashioned books and invite your family to a lively culminating celebration.
Fall term: Mondays, Oct. 12-Dec. 7 (note: no workshops the week of Thanksgiving)
Winter term: Mondays, Jan. 11-March 15 (note: no workshops on Jan. 18 and Feb. 15)
Spring term: Mondays, April 5-May 24
*Classes held at 1533 Moss Street (east side of UO campus) *Workshops are eight week, fee-based, 90 minute, 4:00 - 5:30 pm, limited to 10 participants * Tuition: $100; some partial scholarships available. Take $5 off if you register by September 15th, take $20 off if you register for full school year. * Snack & supplies provided to fortify creativity * Students submit work to read on "YWA Mixed Voices" on KLCC radio, and to publish in YWA’s creative writing journal, "UpStarts"
