Mathematics and Statistics Education
With degrees in mathematics and statistics, Cathy Barnes applies her technical background to the dynamic quantitative aspects of the business curriculum. Ms. Barnes has been with the University of Oregon since 1984 and has widespread teaching experience across several UO departments. She has taught both math and statistics for the Department of Mathematics, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Educational Opportunities Program. She has also served as a math study skills expert, a general academic adviser, and a standardized test preparation consultant for the Center for Academic Learning Services. Ms. Barnes has taught workshops on Graphing Calculator Use; Math Anxiety; and Preparation for the GRE, GMAT, CBEST, and NTE exams.
She is currently teaching sections of Business Statistics and Production and Operations Management.
