About Us
The University of Oregon Sailing team is a university sponsored student run club sport and a member of the Northwest Intercollegiate Sailing Association. The team practices out of the Eugene Yacht Club on Fern Ridge Reservoir located about 16 miles west of campus. The team owns and maintains 9 Flying Juniors, a Santana 20, and a Boston Whaler.
During the fall and spring seasons we practice on at 3:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the offseason we practice on Saturday at 12:30.
Most weekends during the season we compete in regattas throughout the Pacific Northwest to compete against other collegiate sailing teams. A few times per year we also travel to other destinations including California, Hawaii and Boston.
