UO Running Club provides the opportunity for students to get together to run, train and race. Most of our sessions are steady runs. A couple days each week we offer harder training sessions (intervals, repetitions, hills, tempo runs, cruise intervals).

All running sessions are optional. The setting is relaxed. It's a chance to meet UO students for comfortably-paced steady runs, and also to train harder if you wish.

We offer cross country races during autumn, track in the spring, and road races all year.

There is a run or workout every weekday afternoon, as well as Saturday morning if there is no race.

Club members receive an e-mailed workout schedule for the following week every Sunday.

There is no fee to join the club. Members pay their own entry fees for most races. The club pays for transportation to in-state events until it runs out of money. After that, members have to pay for transportation.

Fundraising by club members helps us get to more meets. Last year the club paid for no overnight trips but increased fundraising could lead to more travel.

The Running Club is a great way to get together with students and to enjoy running!
