These photos of Mir were taken during a cultural festival in Mir on Sunday, September 1, 2002. The festival included music and a history of Belarus. There is evidence of a great deal of rebuilding in the town center of Mir as well as to the castle. (Castle 2002 photo)

The houses appear to be newly painted, with new tile roofs. All the paving is recent.
